"The Shop"

9 x 42 Jet mill, purchased  new in 1999, also a Digital Read Out, 8" rotary table, indexing head, several boring heads, right angle attachment  and a variety of squaring tools

13 x 40 JET lathe purchased new in 1999, also a Digital Read Out, collet chuck, 4-jaw chuck, drive plate, radius turning attachment and tool post grinder.

6 x 12 Harig surface grinder with rescraped ways.     In addition, a cylindrical grinding attachment, J & S  radius dresser sine plates and fixtures.

Walker-Turning drill press also sold under Rockwell/Delta.    With the variable frequency drive the drill press in electrically variable speed and reversable with a foot switch.   Great for tapping holes

A work bench with in-layed granit surface plate.    Every square inch counts in my shop

Below is a Bridgeport Series I CNC Knee mill  I bought in 05.   It came from a school and the ways appear to be like new condition.   I plan to do a PC control retrofit and run the mill with one of my laptop computers.    In this way I can use state of the art programming software on the this old US made iron.     Most anyone can repair a control of this type.    No more expensive service calls.   Left picture as purchased.   Right picture is after retrofit

Below is a 3-axis sinking EDM I built.    Great for removing taps, drills, or burning special shape holes.     This is the device used to transfer the mirrored engraving from the electrode to the stamping tool.   Even though it is home built it is automated and runs without my full attention
